Everything you need to know about booking, delivery, pickup, and rental policies.

How do I book totes?

Click "Book Now" anywhere on the site to fill out our short booking form — pick your package, rental term, and move date, then pay online to reserve your totes.

What's included in the price?

Every package includes the totes, free delivery, free pickup, and one dolly. The only extra costs are optional add-ons (like an extra dolly) or extending your rental beyond the base term.

How many totes do I need?

As a rough guide: Studio (20 totes), 1 Bedroom (30 totes), 2 Bedroom (40 totes), 3 Bedroom (55 totes), 4 Bedroom (70 totes), and 5 Bedroom (90 totes). If you're unsure, it's usually better to round up.

Can I change my package after I book?

Yes — just email us at least 48 hours before your delivery date and we'll adjust your order and payment.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, processed securely through Stripe.

What areas do you deliver to?

We serve the northeast and northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, through southeast Wisconsin up to Milwaukee. We don't currently serve downtown Chicago.

Do you deliver to apartments and condos?

Yes — apartments and condos are delivered to the first floor only. We don't carry totes up stairs or into units.

Do you go inside homes?

No — totes are dropped at the nearest accessible outside point, like a driveway, garage, or front door.

Do you offer next-day drop-off?

Yes — order before noon and we can often get totes to your door as soon as the next day.

What time will my totes arrive?

Delivery is between 7am and 7pm depending on the driver's schedule and route that day. Delivery times are not negotiable, so please schedule your delivery date at least one day before your actual moving day to make sure totes arrive on time.

How does pickup work?

Once you're unpacked, stack the empty totes somewhere accessible and we'll pick them up by your Return Due Date. No need to be home.

Can I extend my rental?

Yes — email us before your Return Due Date to add additional weeks at your package's per-week rate.

Are the totes cleaned between rentals?

Yes — every tote is cleaned and inspected before it reaches you.

Can I rent extra dollies?

Yes — an additional dolly rental is available for $29.

What happens if a tote is lost or damaged?

A missing or damaged tote is $20 per tote, and a tote returned dirty, stained, or containing liquids carries a $10 per tote cleaning fee. You'll agree to these terms when you book.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 72 hours before your delivery date for a full refund. Cancel within 72 hours of delivery and you'll receive a 50% refund of the package price.

Is my payment secure?

Yes — all payments are processed through Stripe, a secure, industry-standard payment processor. Nice Totes never stores your card information directly.
